Moulding Expo 2017 will take place from 30 May to 02 June. After the event, those responsible for the project took time to check various date options, taking into consideration the strategic alignment of the trade fair. In this process, Messe Stuttgart also exchanged views with the company Schall, which organised the Control event parallel to Moulding Expo – a successful cooperation with positive synergy effects. In a joint meeting with the partners and exhibitors of Moulding Expo, three different sets of dates were presented, from which the Advisory Board unanimously selected the new dates. However, in this constellation the MEX and Control events will no longer take place concurrently.
“The prospects for Control and Moulding Expo are very promising. Both events will in all probability grow in the coming years. In order to make this possible, the trade fairs can longer be held in parallel,” says Ulrich Kromer von Baerle, President of Messe Stuttgart. “This, of course, raises the question as to how the exhibitors from the areas of quality assurance and measurement technology, who were present at both events concurrently, will cope with the new situation. For providers of specific solutions for tool, pattern and mould making, both trade fairs will nevertheless remain important – irrespective of their simultaneous scheduling,” Andreas Wittur, General Manager at the trade fair organiser Schall, is convinced.
“We already have 120 registrations for 2017 and are convinced that we can become the most important platform for top-quality European tool, pattern and mould making,” says Ulrich Kromer von Baerle. “To decide on a timeframe that allows growth is therefore a logical consequence.” 19 per cent of exhibitors at the trade fair in 2015 indicated straight after the event that they would be coming again in 2017 with a bigger stand. Furthermore, in the first months after the premiere, European associations signalled their interest in Moulding Expo. Kromer: “Growth with quality – that’s our motto.”
