positive course indeed has characterized the synthesis of the meeting recently held for the planning of next exhibition events that will take place in Emilia Romagna, dedicated to the Italian and international manufacturing system and focused on the new technologies for the manufacturing industry, the smart factory and subcontracting. Starting from 2021 MECSPE, the reference exhibition for the manufacturing industry and the smart factory, will prosecute its international development in BolognaFiere fairgrounds, to enlarge exhibition spaces and to benefit from connections and infrastructures that make the Emilia capital more accessible to national and international visitors and exhibitors who attend the trade fair. Mecspe will go on representing all sectors that characterize it (Machines and Tools, Digital factory, Automation and Robotics, Metrology and Control, Mechanical and Electronic Subcontracting, Treatments and Finishes, Additive Manufacturing, Eurostampi, Machines, Moulds for Plastic Materials and Subcontracting, Power Transmissions and Logistics), pursuing its enlargement process in new manufacturing and innovation areas. Still starting from 2021 Fiere di Parma will enhance Subfornitura, its historical exhibition product dedicated to subcontracting industrial machining, whose target is tracking, in this segment of SME and microenterprises, one of the main added-value manufacturing chains of the made in Italy.

“In 2021 MECSPE will live its 21st year of age – comments Ivo Nardella, Managing Director of Senaf – in these years we have already planned an internationalization and expansion course of the trade fair and therefore the choice of Bologna fairgrounds is a natural consequence of this strategy. Emilia Romagna region and its districts remain central for the exhibition, we leave Parma with the awareness and the pride of the excellent work done until now in collaboration with Fiere di Parma management and the national associative realities that have supported the development of our exhibition event. Currently MECSPE is the reference exhibition for the manufacturing industry and the smart factory and also in 2020, for the last time in Parma, promises to be the umpteenth sold out edition”.

“We are proud – comments Antonio Cellie, CEO of Fiere di Parma – of having shared, along these years, in the birth and the development of a highly successful exhibition like Mecspe, due also to the simultaneity with our historical SubFornitura. Senaf has communicated us the need of growing exhibition spaces and we are pleased they have found them in our region. On the other hand, our industrial plan provides for the development of Proprietary Exhibitions, like precisely SubFornitura, which will be fully renovated in 2021 through the new digital competences gained and the success of our new light formats such as “Connect”.
