Arburg presents gold standard for packaging manufacture at ArabPlast 2017

Arburg, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of injection moulding machines and specific turnkey solutions, is bringing its gold standard in plastic packaging machinery to the Middle East’s biggest industry event, ArabPlast, from January 8th to 10th 2017.

Arburg will be debuting its new electric entry-level machine series in the Middle East. On its stand (D110 in Hall 5), an Allrounder 570 E Golden Electric will produce closure caps for drinking yoghurt bottles on stand.

Thanks to its consistent standardisation, the electric entry-level machine offers an excellent price/performance ratio.

The Allrounder Golden Electric is available in four sizes with clamping forces from 600 to 2,000 kN. These electric entry-level machines are designed for the precise, energy-efficient production of technically sophisticated moulded parts

Like their successful Golden Edition hydraulic counterpart, the new “Golden Electric” Allrounder machines offer an excellent price/performance ratio thanks to consistent standardisation, including a fixed combination of distance between tie-bars, clamping force and injection unit size.

The entry-level electric machines are primarily intended for the cost-efficient and reproducible manufacturing of high-quality technical parts. High-end machines continue to be available for high-performance and special applications in the shape of the electric Alldrive series, which can be individually adapted to the specific application at hand.

High-performance, precise, energy efficient
The Allrounder Golden Electric is available in four machine sizes with clamping forces from 600 to 2,000 kN.

The double five-point toggle system ensures fast, high-performance cycles. The play-free spindle drives operate with high precision. The position-regulated screw ensures high moulded part quality.

The new electric machine series also features liquid-cooled motors and servo inverters and offers benefits in terms of energy efficiency, short dry cycle times and high reproducibility. Compared to standard hydraulic machines, the high efficiency of the servo motors, continuous power adaptation and energy recovery during braking provide for energy savings of up to 55 percent.

The machines are also easy to maintain thanks to swivelling injection units, plug-in cylinder modules and further improved lubrication and cooling.

At Arabplast 2017  Arburg will present the efficient production of packaging items: an Allrounder 570 E Golden Electric with a clamping force of 2,000 kN and size 800 injection unit will produce 16 closure caps for drinking yoghurt bottles in a cycle time of around 5 seconds. Each PE moulded part weighs 1.6 grams.

Moreover, for particularly demanding applications, Arburg offers a Packaging version (P) for the hybrid and electric high-performance Allrounders of the Hidrive and Alldrive machine series. These machines combine high productivity with reduced energy consumption, and excel in their precisely matched combination of distance between tie-bars, clamping force and opening stroke.

Further highlights include fast, precise, energy-saving mould movements thanks to servo-electric toggle-type clamping units, high plasticising flow rates thanks to barrier screws and servo-electric dosing drives, dynamic position-regulated screws and effective injection volumes.

“The packaging market is enjoying very dynamic growth in the Middle Eastern countries, as the production of high-quality plastic products is increasing steadily in these countries. Our new ‘Golden Electric’ machine series, which we will be presenting for the first time in the Middle East at the Arabplast 2017, is ideal for cost-effective entry into electric injection moulding production”, said Joachim Branz, Managing Director of the Arburg subsidiary in the United Arab Emirates.

“Furthermore, we are the only European manufacturer to offer expert application technology consulting for individual injection moulding solutions in the region, as well as a comprehensive local pre and aftersales service”.
